Are YOU the next American Idol?

Find out if you have what it takes! Make plans to audition for the “GNF Idol” competition for the chance to win a virtual audition with American Idol Executive Producers!

The Georgia National Fair has partnered with American Idol to bring the first step of the auditions to the Fairgrounds!
Live auditions will be held at the Georgia National Fair in Perry on Friday, October 13th on the All-American Stage from 1 PM – 4 PM, with registration beginning at 12:30 PM. Limited audition slots are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To ensure your slot, contestants may submit a digital 60-90 seconds in length audition video on Instagram or Facebook, using the hashtag #GNFidol34.

Digital Video Submission should include the following:
  • Approximately 90 seconds in length
  • Must include the contestant's name and birthdate
  • Submitted between August 7th, 2023 – September 22nd, 2023
  • Submit using the hashtag #GNFidol34
Video Rules:
Only videos submitted during the required time frame will be considered for GNF Idol participation. The contestant may sing cover songs or originals and may play an instrument or sing with track music. For videos to be considered, they must be between 60 and 90 seconds of the contestant singing live with no voice alteration or filters.

The “GNF Idol” competition will be held on the All-American Stage at the Georgia National Fair. All contestants selected to compete at the live auditions will receive free admission to the Fair. Contestants 17 and under will receive an additional pass for a guardian.

Your birthday must be between June 2, 1994 and February 15, 2009 to enter the contest, per American Idol’s eligibility requirements.

Live Audition Rules:
Live auditions will be held at the Georgia National Fair in Perry on Friday, October 13th on the All-American Stage from 1 PM – 4 PM. Onsite registration will begin at 12:30 PM by the All-American Stage.

Contestants that do not have a preset time slot, will check in with GNF team members and receive a time slot for an audition. If a contestant is late to their scheduled time slot their place will not be held. Contestants may reschedule if time permits.

Contestants will have approximately 90 seconds to perform acapella in front of GNF Idol judges. A contestant may bring an acoustic musical instrument to accompany their audition.

The winner will be announced upon conclusion of the contest on Friday, October 13th.
