GNFA Livestock Ambassadors

About

The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter established the Junior Livestock Ambassadors to improve, assist, and promote the Junior Livestock and Equine Industry by providing a positive atmosphere through youth leadership. The ambassadors will inform the public about the importance of youth agricultural involvement and highlight the accomplishments of Georgia Junior Livestock Exhibitors.

Application

The application for the 2024-2025 GNFA Livestock Ambassadors will open later this year.

Application Requirements:
  • Applicants can be any student enrolled in 9th through 12th grade.
  • Applicants are required to be in good standing with school academics, as well as their 4-H/FFA Chapter.
  • Applicants must currently be showing or have shown one of the following species of livestock here at the Georgia National Fairgrounds: Beef Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Goats, Lambs, and/or Swine.

Fair Food Drive

The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter Livestock Ambassadors have partnered with Middle Georgia Community Food Bank to help our neighbors who face food insecurity. From now until Friday, September 8th you can donate through the online fundraising campaign. Each ambassador has a team that you can select to donate to. The donations that are made to the selected ambassador will go back to their food bank in their local communities. Below is a list with the ambassador and the food bank that is in their area. On Saturday, September 9th the 2nd Annual Georgia National Fair Food Drive will take place at the Georgia Grown Pavilion from 10 AM – 2 PM. Individuals that donate 5 non-perishable food items on the day of the drive will receive $10 fair food coupons. These items include canned goods, healthy and low sodium options, kid snacks, noodle pasta, rice, peanut butter, protein-filled items, and canned meats. Please no items in glass containers. Mission Statement

Each year during leadership training, the ambassadors develop a mission statement that defines their collective purposes and goals.

Mission Statement: Our mission as GNFA Livestock Ambassadors is to inspire and educate younger generations by showcasing hard work and individual achievements in the livestock industry so that people will gain an understanding of the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.
