Much of the success of the Georgia National Fair can be credited to its volunteers. The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter's volunteers are called the Georgia National FairCrackers. |
We are always looking for new volunteers to serve as FairCrackers. There are a variety of ways that FairCrackers volunteer at the Fair. They serve as greeters at our information gazebos at each gate. They staff the Clock Tower, which is the main information center, lost & found area, and lost children station at the Fair. The FairCrackers work as building helpers in our exhibits buildings and assist children on field trips during the Fair. In addition to the Georgia National Fair, the FairCrackers volunteer their service at other events held at the Agricenter. They serve as ushers, ticket takers, and door guards at various events held in Reaves Arena. The FairCrackers are also called on from time to time to assist with mass mailings and assemble souvenir packages for our visitors.
In exchange for their volunteer service, FairCrackers are provided with some special benefits. The Georgia National FairCrackers' benefit package includes:
· Invitations to special recognition and awards banquets
· Free passes to the Georgia National Fair
· Food and/or other refreshments when volunteering
· Opportunities to participate in special events at the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter
· Meet others with similar interests
· Free volunteer vest and Fair paraphernalia
· Flexible volunteer hours
